Review of To Have and Have Not (1945) by Sunil J — 16 Mar 2009
Fantastic! Humphrey Bogart continues to dazzle me. This is the 7th movie I have seen with him and he keeps getting better. He has a very cynical streak in this one but like always he is instantly likeable and you can't help but root for him and it is only in one other actor I have found this quality and that is the living legend; Sean Connery.
The movie itself survives on a few well placed action sequences and very sharp dialogue between Bogart and Bacall.
