Review of To Catch a Thief (1955) by Hal M — 06 Jan 2011
Two of the most attractive stars in film annals co-star here, with gorgeous cinematography of an enticing locale (French Riviera). What's there not to like? Actually...the script. Which is pretty hoaky.
We don't even wind up caring much who the real burglar is, and don't expect any ingenious Topkapi heist action. Just switch off your brain and enjoy hunky Cary Grant (still in his prime), and the much younger Grace Kelly modeling those marvelous Edith Head costumes.
