You would be hard pressed to find a funnier movie. lubitschs callous approach works in this satire/screwball comedy set during the nazi occupation of poland. the layered jokes land almost perfectly. carole lombard and jack benny dont particularly share too many scenes but they are wonderfully cast for their roles.
watch this only if you want to laugh.
