Review of TMNT (2007) by Robert H — 24 Mar 2013

Anyone who's ever been a fan of the TMNT is bound to get some enjoyment from seeing them back in action. Personally I, as someone who watched the live action movies religiously when they were little, thought it could have been better.

The jokes and one-liners were mostly hit-and-miss and the story wasn't the best, but the movie is just good enough to get you excited about a TMNT2. It's fast paced and the action is consistent and looks great.

There's also some cool voicework from Zhang Ziyi as the leader of "The Foot" ninjas and Chris "Human Torch" Evans as Casey. I had issues with some of the characters, such as Raph's attitude getting annoying and April's change of career (not to mention the lack of Shredder!), but Splinter and the rest of the Turtles are just as cool as ever.
