Belongs up there with... Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood" (variation on Macbeth), Polanski's "Macbeth", Luhrmann's "Romeo and Juliet". Far superior to... Kenneth Branagh's "Hamlet".
Also far superior to Taymor's disappointingly commercial "Frida". Anyone with an aesthetic sense should race to see this film. Gorgeously theatrical.
