Damn near perfect as a contemporized staging of Shakespeare. Taymor's theatrical sensibility synchs perfectly with this over-the-top history featuring war, machinations, dismemberment, cannibalism, and madness.
Have a few Doris Day movies lying around for afterwards when you're totally bummed out.
