Review of Titus (1999) by Stuart K — 24 Jul 2009
Saw a recent screening of this with director Julie Taymor doing a Q & A afterward, and it was a very interesting viewing experience. it's not 100% perfection, but like all of Taymor's other works, it is visually stunning and full of eccentricities that makes this film a must-see for any Shakespeare fans.
the costumes, the sets, the performances... it is definitely an unusual film, and although some parts are boring, there are moments that really are eye-opening.
