Review of Titicut Follies (1967) by Eric T — 01 Dec 2007
Frederick Wiseman makes documentaries that were like no other, and now, get ripped off. This is one of the most disturbing and upsetting movies ever, shot all in real time and edited with opinion rather than blatant voiceover.
Filmed at an asylum for the criminally insane, Titicut Follies evokes tears, rage, and confusion, at times simultaneously. If you can find it, watch it.
