Review of Titanic (1997) by Oscar J M — 29 Aug 2013
I finally got to see this movie in 3-D, and I have to say, the 3-D definitely ADDS to the greatness of this film. I'm sure most of you are familiar with this 1997 Academy Award winning movie, and most of you have already have made your decision on whether or not you like it, BUT I have to say that seeing it in the third dimension is almost as good as seeing it for the first time.
Yes, the dialogue is a bit hokey, and the romance is a bit overblown, but that doesn't take away from the GIGANTIC technical marvel that this movie is. The special effects (sound AND visual) were state of the art in 1997, and they pop off the screen with the 2012 3d re-do.
Will 3-d change your opinion of the movie? No. But if you liked it the 1st few times you saw it in the late 90's, you will like it even more this time around. Very very impressed. Again.
