I always described this film as a grand spectacle. The first half is more like a Soap Opera romance and the other half is an intense adventure, with the horror of a very memorable tragedy. The first thing I noticed is the acting.

As usual, Cameron uses the right and spot on scripts. It feels like, I'm watching a "telenovela" on a television in terms of dialogues. The cinematography is amazing, It really has that 19th century feels.

The production design is top notch. The atmosphere is breathtaking, it feels like, you are living on that ship, on that same timeline. You can feel Cameron's trademark on this one. In terms of characters, Leo and Kate's performances are good, definitely not an Oscar worthy or whatsoever, but the chemistry between them is very memorable.

You started to care about them, especially when the tension heats up on the second part of the film. The second half shows damage, and tragedy, with very heartbreaking images that will haunt us. The great works of visual effects and the sound editing is just superb.

Watching it on Blu-ray mesmerizes me, you can almost taste it. The part where the ship sank and splits in half, it is just amazing to watch. The part where Jack and Rose struggles to escape and almost getting drowned by a flood, those scenes are intense and engaging.

It is a spectacular epic that will be remembered for such a long time. James Cameron proves as a filmmaker, he can do such an amazing masterpiece in this historical tragedy of the Titanic. 4/5.
