Review of Titanic (1984) by Cameron H — 21 May 2014
Titanic, the movie that's called a masterpiece because it follows all masterpiece clichés known to man. The villain insults the viewer's intelligence by being so one-sidedly evil, and the love story is lame. DiCaprio, with his boyish haircut, looks at least 10 years younger than Winslet.
Towards the end the main characters spend a lot if time wading waist-deep in ocean water in the ship. The water looks like perfectly clean, chlorinated pool water, and they'd in reality be totally numb from the waist down before long, yet they don't seem to have a problem moving through it.
Also the villain literally pulls out a gun and tries to shoot Jack around this time. This is really stupid because the man is risking everything by doing this.
This is meant to be a crowd-pleaser and I really can't stand big long mainstream films like this.
