Review of Titanic (1984) by Jeff L — 20 Apr 2015
A complete throwback to the kind of epics that nobody makes anymore. It came out in 1997, but (outside of visual effects) it plays as much older than that. It reminds me of something David Lean might have made.
.. It was also the first "adult" movie I saw in theaters. I was fascinated by shipwrecks back then, and this hit the spot. It's not just nostalgia, though. There's a good argument to be made that this is Cameron's best film.
