Review of Titanic (1943) by John B — 02 Feb 2014
This could have easily been a 5 star movie but there are some major issues I have with it. I've always been interested in the true story of RMS Titanic and her passengers and crew. What I'm not interested in is a far fetched love story between two fictional characters on board. This film I think would have been much better if it left that cringe worthy story out.
Actual survivor accounts if what happened were far more interesting then what actually happened in the movie.
The hitting the iceberg and sinking part of the film is excellent. James Cameron knows how to do big movie effects no one can knock him for that. To be honest if I ever watch it again I'd probably just skip through a lot of the rubbish bits.
