Titanic, "the tragic love story of the '90s" is one of the most overrated movies of the 20th century. A sad, sad mixture of poor, melodramatic acting, gaping plot holes, and mind baffling scientific inaccuracies (more on that later) plague this movie.

Not only is this tragic event turned into a commercialized, bought-and-paid-for product, the movie is host to bad acting, mostly Kate Winslet being overly dramatic or Leo Dicaprio overplaying the confused boy part of the role.

The gaping plot holes are constantly recurring, how did they get to the car? Why is Jack Dawson gambling for the ticket, is this a recurring addiction? The back stories aren't explored, half the scenes are seemingly just spawned out of nowhere, almost soap opera-esque.

And finally, the scientific inaccuracies, mainly, the door. Yes, the door Kate Winslet lays on for 5 minutes while Leonardo DiCaprio (SPOILER ALERT) dies, he claims "there's no room, it will flip," or something along those lines, scientifically speaking, another 10 people could have gotten on that slab of wood and played cards.

Overall, this is definitely an overrated film.
