Review of Titan A.E. (2000) by Guido S — 02 Mar 2014
Don Bluth does a handdrawn/CGI mix up that looks weird at times. An alien race wiped out the earth and the remaining humans survive out in space. Matt Damon's character is given a map to a safe haven to travel to in the event of an alien assault so he goes out to find it.
Pretty standard sci-fi stuff. The animation looks weird when both the CGI and traditional methods are both used in the same shot, looks very weird. When it is just one of them, it looks fine, but the mix up doesn't work.
Otherwise, a pretty decent if very standard sci-fi.
