Review of Tiny Furniture (2010) by Lyon G — 27 Jul 2012
Charming, witty, and hilarious. With a slow pace, and really nowhere to go, most would think this movie is going to be bad. That's what I thought when I let it sit on my Instant Queue for about 5 months.
With Aura not being the most attractive female in today's actress galore, I thought what a waste of time watching an insecure, mildly cute, and dry humored female. Though, that's what is so infectious about this movie, damnit! Dunham does a great job playing Aura transitioning from college grad, to the real world.
When you feel the tangibility of Aura, you'll wonder why you haven't seen the movie earlier. She feels so real, with her less than adequate female features. More movies should be made like this, and not dependent upon glam over substance.
I reccomend this movie if you feel like wallowing in an anti-love story, at 2 in the morning. Five stars.
