Review of Tiny Furniture (2010) by Errol W — 10 Mar 2013
This was pre-Girls and starred the talented Lena Durham who by the way also acted, directed and wrote the screenplay.
'aura' here is basically 'hannah', with her just-graduated-from-school, out-into-the-real-world woes.
Wanted to love the film more, but the theme felt repetitive (and the film at times draggy, and just an itsy bitsy teenie weenie bit irritating) if you've also just come off from watching the hilarious and highly entertaining Girls.
That said, it was still an enjoyable enough watch, and definitely commendable effort.
'jessa' & 'ray' from Girls were part of the movie's cast as well and the standout was undoubtedly jemima kirke; the girl really grows on you.
