Review of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) by Barrie Q — 21 Apr 2013
An intelligent adaption of Le Carrà (C)'s classic featuring a Who's Who of British cinema talent. Gary Oldman is brilliant as George Smiley, but I also like Benefict Cumberbatch.
The film demands a certain intelligence, and there is a vast range of characters to engage with. If you stick with it though, you'll be rewarded with a clever and sympathetic adaptation of one of Le Carrà (C) most famous work.
