This movie is good, but not great. The cast is fantastic! Absolutely spot on for this movie. The music was fabulous; it's one of my favorites for that year. Costume and overall historical design was amazing as well. after all this, what did I not like? The pace and confusing storyline. I haven't read the book, so I can't do a comparison. However, I will say that you shouldn't have to read the book to understand the movie. There were times the movie was confusing and that may have been a pacing issue. The movie was VERY slow at the beginning, along with other areas. I would recommend this, but know what you're getting into.
