A good one. Beautifully produced with grey grainy Seventies seedy atmosphere, full of great camera shots and evocative sets. Some great acting, too. Like Isobel we found it a bit too tricky in places, although it was enjoyable and rewarding to be made to work so hard to understand the narrative.
It induced me to look up the Wiki of both book and movie after watching, and left me with that gloomy feeling for a couple of days too.
