Was on my list for its great cast but the story and storytelling had me pretty bored though the performances were believable.
It took me a second to adjust every time they switched to the past. And I was a little confused trying to find focus on the main point, even if they did open with it.
The descriptions mentioned Smiley having been forcibly retired and then brought back. But I didn't see much of a change between him leaving and then helping.
I've never read John Le Carré. Not sure either are my cup of tea.
