Review of Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy (2014) by Garda D — 23 Mar 2014

I never watch any Tinker Bell and friends movie but since the trailer looks fun, I decided to watch it.

This might be a girls stuff but as a guy, I enjoyed it. The fairy were unique, there were a fairy who can connect with animals, high speed flying, a gardener fairy and not to mention Tinker Bell who...Tinker stuff I guess and they also have a fairy from each season which is weird. How come the winter fairy survive the warm temperature?

The dust and the water effects looks great, the animation was really good as well.

The storyline was pretty average. You know, your friend who has been missing for a long time and suddenly, when you meet her again she turns evil and then the story will end with or quote such as: "We're not here only for the dust" says Tinker to her evil friend, and then they hug in happiness afterwards and what's worse is that it was really predictable. We have saw endings like that seen from many other animated movie, when will they get over it and make different one? At least they show something nice, like young captain Hook and the baby Croc who will soon bite captain Hook hand and also some entertaining fight scenes.

The effects were great, filled with weird fairies and great animations won't make this a great movie if they keep giving us an average and predictable story. Well, Disney doesn't even care about that, all they think is just entertaining kids with animated movie with average story because the kids won't even care about it, all they think about is that "If it is animated movie, then I'll ask my parents to go watch it together".
