Review of Tinker Bell (2008) by Tony C — 08 Jan 2010
The movie that came straight to DVD, instead of appearing in theatres first, could have done well on the big screen as well. It is more than a direct to DVD film. It includes a great story as to the origin of Tinkerbell and is great for any Peter Pan fans who want to know the story of the his best friend.
The movie has a good story, with awesome little features that show how the fairies of Pixie Hollow work and how nature happens. The addition of the other fairies who each possess a different skill and the process of them teaching Tinkerbell their skills to show the powers of each fairy in the film is great and well done on Disney Studios' part.
The animation is almost Pixar-like and top class, due to the fact that it has its own feel and look to the film. The bright colors and the night scenes really add to the animation. The film is great for all ages and even features a great ending that shows some insight into the world of Peter Pan.
The movie is great all the way until its amazing ending scene, which I will not soon forget.
