I hate the romantic comedy genre. The films of this genre have the largest fail rate for me. They are generally predictable with very little to say and are filled with characters nobody cares about.
This film is the exception. The comedy is both clever and silly and the romance is believable. While the storyline is very much formulaic to the genre the premise is fresh and all the characters involved are relevant to the overall plot.
As a film in general I gave it 4 stars but as a stand alone piece in the Rom-com genre it gets a 5.
