Review of Timeline (2006) by Donna S — 17 Mar 2008
It's funny, a lot of people on Facebook have so many negative things to say about this movie, but for me, it exemplifies the very best a movie is, if you want something to just sweep you up and take you away. Great locations, good characters, absorbing premise and doesn't get bogged down in the how or why. Now apparently, if you have read the Crichton book upon which it is based, you will be disappointed, so I'm glad I haven't (yet) read the book.
I looooved this movie. Gerard Butler as Marek is the ideal action hero, I loved the Lady Claire character, loved the whole movie. I watched it yesterday for the second time (last time two years or so ago) and loved it just as much the second time around.
I highly recommend this movie. For those who didn't, if you could get your panties out of the wad they are in and just enjoy it as an action-adventure time-travel movie, and not a treatise on time travel and quantum physics, you'd enjoy it, too.
