Review of Timeline (2003) by Lora R — 12 Jul 2012
A group of archaeologists travel back to the 14th century to find their professor who has gone missing. The story itself is good, but the execution wasn't impressing. I didn't know this was an adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel of the same name until now and I'm sure the book was better than the movie.
Rochard Donner had a big budget for this movie, but instead of making a good script (or do we have the first-time screenwriter George Nolfi to blame?) better they mainly seemed to have focused on the sets, props and visuals. That is probably the reason for the low ratings.
The cast has some nice names such as Paul Walker, Gerard Butler and Michael Sheen and most of them performed well.
Timeline is watchable, but just for one time.
