Review of Timecop (1994) by Chris M — 19 Jul 2008
Timecop is a decent movie that suffers from "Great Idea, Bad Execution" syndrome. Van Damme is a poor man's Arnold, but this is probably his best movie (well Kickboxer and Bloodsport were unintentionally funny!).
With a better director, writers, and a different lead actor this could have been a great thinking man's sci-fi action film in the vein of Robocop, Total Recall or the Matrix. This is the type of movie that needs to be remade.
