Review of Timecode (2000) by Mithila Minxy K — 22 Feb 2008
Which way should you look? What story should you follow? If any film practically demands multiple viewing, it is Timecode. Figgis has experimented with a four-way split screen and the effect is that of a sensory overload at first and almost anti-climactic at the end.
It's not as overwhelming an effect as you would probably imagine it to be and the cinematic techniques are nothing to speak of. Mediocre but realist acting - in keeping with the real-time theme of the film.
