Review of Time Bandits (1981) by Dennis V — 24 Jun 2008
A movie by and featuring several of the Monty Python crew but seemingly aimed at a younger audience. It contains overtly pythonesque elements but rather than being plain absurd this could be considered as more of a fairytale.
And quite a good one at that seeing that it tells a tale that, in my opinion, any young boy will just gobble up. Just like any other Python movie it's still rather incoherent in places which keeps it from being great unfortunately.
In spite of that however, it is still more than worthy of a viewing.
