Review of Time Bandits (1981) by Rebecca H — 29 Oct 2008
Although Terry Gilliam can make a film interesting to look at, and the script is generally funny, somehow they end up being slow and dull too often. But what really kills Time Bandits is the lack of character.
No one has a personality or is developed for more than a second, so you can't care about any of it, so it's boring. Also, there's something up with the sound, the ending is just... Nothing, and Craig Warnock as Kevin, the boy kidnapped by the time-travelling dwarfs, whispers every line in the exact same way.
Hollow, underdeveloped dullness with the occasional laugh.
