Terry Gilliam is one of those directors that you can't help but watch just to see what he will do next. A lot of people don't like his stuff, but I have to say that I enjoy almost every movie I have seen of him.
The stories are always great and layered. This is not just a movie for kids. If you watch it and not laugh at the Robin Hood scene, you have no funny bone!
