An exceedingly silly film. Gilliam doesn't fit all that well into the position of director of a kids film, and it shows. He tries too hard, the events are almost too whimsical at times,and you can tell he's dying to throw in some adult humor even though he can't.
However, The plot is unique enough, and the proceedings can be bizarre, insane, and downright terrifying at times....not to metion it's got one of the greatest closing shots of a film. without a doubt Giliam's most bizarre film to date.
Defintely worth a watch,.
