Review of Time Bandits (1981) by Joey S — 08 May 2013
Time Bandits could be considered a fairy tale. A rather far fetched one at that. With a cast almost entirely made up of midgets this is probably one of Terry Gilliam's best films. Gilliam takes you on a journey from different areas in history and gives you his take on them.
A rather childish Napoleon who has difficulty accepting his height, is just one of the many twisted aspects you encounter on this wild ride. The movie is well paced and jumps from scene to scene with no lagging.
It's a great flick and definitely one that is worth viewing.
