Sigh, This one had so much potential. It started off great! I mean Time Traveling midgets, with Ian Holm, Sean Connery, and various other actors. Great set designs, fun story, all of it was great! And then there's that ending. That awful awful ending. It just ruins it, it ruins most of the movie right there.
Not to mention the final fight with the villain was too long and uninteresting. It just didn't work.
It's sad really, and I would have been fine with the fight if the ending had been better. Anything other than just leaving the kid there making you wonder what the heck happens to him now!
Really the movie is a must see for sci fi and fantasy fans. Just be prepared to be disappointed with the ending.
