Visually, a masterpiece. Story, fantastic. Vision, remarkable. Terry Gilliam has split himself down the middle in his timeline, going from sci-fi fantasy to heavy-realism slowly from the beginning of his career to now.
This is the best film of his former half. Nobody will ever be able to so clearly show what a fantasy looks like through the eyes of a child like Gilliam did here, and I hope nobody ever tries.
