Review of Time After Time (2011) by Daphne B — 05 Feb 2010
I'm baffled as to how to rate this. Some parts were so ineptly done that it went beyond cheesy all the way to deflating my suspension of disbelief instantaneously. Some parts were interesting. Maybe 2 or 3 scenes were excellent.
The concept is brilliant. The actors range from competent to slightly-more-competent. It's a movie I wanted to like, but it was also predictable and with poor special effects and only a weird chemistry between McDowell and Steenburgen.
Honestly, they were both portraying "madly in love" really well, but somehow it was like, "not with each other." Ultimately, I think Malcolm McDowell could make anything watchable, and that's why this doesn't get zero stars.
