Review of Time After Time (2011) by Nick L — 13 Nov 2010
I really wanted to like this movie more, but it just didn't quite do it for me. Victorian era British dudes travelling through time is a pretty sweet idea. Throw in Malcolm McDowell playing HG Wells and you'd think I would be in love with this movie.
Unfortunately it's bogged down by an unnecessary and out of place love story between HG Wells and Mary Steenburgen. Coincidentally this is the same problem and actress that hurt Back to the Future 3, only I think it worked better in that film.
The story is weird but it works for me. See it if you are a big time travel fan.
