A movie in which H.G. Wells travels through time to the present (well, 1979) in persuit of Jack the Ripper starring Malcolm McDowell as H.G. himself. What's not to love?
It's great fun. Not hugely original -it's a pretty standard fish-out-of-water comedy, but hell. Malcolm McDowell + time travel + Jack the Ripper = brilliant.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10.
Actual quality as a film: 7/10.
