Review of Timber Falls (2007) by Gary M — 14 Oct 2008
Timber Falls - dull, generic and text book horror/slasher movie with neither innovation nor exaggeration to redeem it. Crazy hillbillies? Tick. Half-assed torture stuff? Tick. Evil religious psychos? Tick.
Incidentally, how come all evil religious psychos in film or tv are alway Christian? Eh, who am I kidding? We all know the writers/producers don't have the nuts to step outside the "safe-zone" on that score.
But if you're unoriginal, for pity's sake at least try and have some kind of atmosphere or suspense or drama or something... Anyone who can watch this without going off to check their email and forgetting the film is on is more dedicated than me.
And I'm not sure that's a compliment...
