Review of Timber Falls (2007) by ?۩ Iñvért Ð — 03 Jun 2008
A rather predictable take on the teen slasher genre. No originality, but does pay homage to the themes set out in 70s teen slasher movies. Influences seem to be drawn from right across the board from Halloween, Texas Chainsaw and even a little Hostel for gory measure.
Whilst the violence is laugh out loud funny, and the makeup is atrocious, the story is rather good. Conflicting opinion over illegitimate sex within the reach of religious country folk, that just want a family.
'Til Death do they part...
