Review of Tigerland (2000) by Jai S — 07 Feb 2010
Another excellent performance from Colin Farrell and a great supporting cast. I can really get behind the point of view of the film and it was interesting to see a war movie that takes place entirely before the soldiers go to war.
The gritty cinematography adds to the overall effect of the film. I don't think anyone in the world would believe that the man who directed this also directed Batman and Robin. Joel Schumacher is that hit-or-miss, but when he hits he has made some of my favorite films of the past decade.
Not sure I would rate this one that high, but I certainly enjoyed it a lot.
