Review of Tigerland (2000) by Greg G — 24 May 2010
Unlike most antiwar films this one never goes over to the war. Which is very powerful in showing the physiological problems soldiers deal with before heading away. Most antiwar films show the horrors on the battlefield, though in doing show end up glorifying war.
Never showing the battles removes the glorification that are overfilled in most films. Even though it is heavily full of zoom and hand held movements, it has a powerful story and one of the best performances by Colin Farrell.
