Review of Tigerland (2000) by Matt C — 27 Apr 2011
Schumacher and Farrell are both such enigmas that it's probably fitting they've done some of their best work together. 'Phone Booth' and 'Tigerland' are both excellent films. This isn't particularly original, it boils down to the rebel grunt being put through army training but it's always engrossing.
It's main strength lying in the fact that all events are played out on home soil with the Vietnam war the constant looming menace over the horizon. Well worth watching if you haven't seen it yet.
