Review of Tigerland (2000) by Cal ( — 07 Jul 2007
A stunning, gritty Vietnam film is exceptionally made with particularly great cinematography. Farrell's portrayal as a disobedient soldier is brilliant, as is the rest of the cast. Shot on gritty 16mm film with shaky camera much like 'Saving Private Ryan' (SPR is probably the best war film ever made), director Joel Schumacher has crafted a great film.
My only complaint would be that it ends too suddenly when one would expect an enormous battle as the icing on the cake. Recommended.
