Review of Tiger Bay (1959) by Paul D — 30 Dec 2008
Good value for its four stars. The Cardiff in which this is set is long since gone, but that doesn't take away from this cinematic gem. Interesting this is one of the first films that depicted a multi-racial Britain.
The star of this film though is clearly Hayley Mills. Provokkes thought in the question of the innocencence of childhood against its ammorality. Very interesting- and actually very topical in the current climate, despite being set nearly 50 years ago.
