Gilliam himself desribed this as a cross between Alice in Wonderland and Psycho and he isn't wrong. This is a very dark, disturbing and twisted tale about human madness (whether self-inflicted or naturally imposed).
Beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted with a thoughtful 'What Next' ending. Loved every minute!
