Review of Tideland (2005) by Bruno B — 18 Jan 2012
Mix of fantasy, a bizarre real world which includes strange characters and even disgusting scenes (less than I expected, in fact) and a very particular girl, this movie has an interesting approach of how a sort of Alice-in-Wonderland can create a whole world to escape from terrible truth around her, but is difficult to maintain the interest along in such an ocean of craziness.
If, at least, the magical world have had more weigh, and being more interesting, we will have enjoyed more. Anyhow, the main character is nice, but this is neither the masterpiece, not the crap others claim.
