Review of Tideland (2005) by Rick Q — 28 Mar 2012
Terry gilliam has a unique style, and with 'tideland" it feels like he really let loose and went all out of the crazy. it's most definitely not for everyone, and if anyone ever tells me they disliked it, I completely understand why.
but for me, "tideland" is a beautiful, dark and twisted look into the innocence of a young girl's mind, who has been raised by drug addicted father, played wonderfully by jeff bridges. you may not like it, and it might make you feel uncomfortable, but I think it's a film worth watching just to give you a reaction, no matter what it may be.
