Review of Tickled (2016) by David F — 15 Apr 2017
This is a fantastic documentary which starts out being about Competitive Endurance Tickling, apparently some kind of online fad that the filmmaker wishes to investigate, but turns out to be about a mysterious and possibly crazy or possibly strange individual who has a variety of obsessions and proclivities that the filmmakers are able to circle around and see but aren't quite ever able to totally understand.
In that way it reminds the viewer of a film like 'Citizen Kane' or 'Lawrence of Arabia' in its rich psychological depths as well as tantalizing inconclusiveness.
