Clooney and Julia Roberts are undeniable in this heartfelt and harmless romantic comedy. Clooney is top notch here, Roberts is too but he plays his character well and really helps create a likable and somewhat sympathic character when a lesser actor would have phoned in the performance in a disposable romantic comedy. Kaitlyn Dever is also really good here, im a huge fan of hers from Dopesick, Short Term 12, Unbelievable and Booksmart. I really feel like she's going to be a massive player in acting in the future and she is so good at adding layers to a somewhat thin character.

Most of the comedy here works, the characters play off eachother well here and help create some genuinely funny moments. My main gripe is really just the plot, I found it to be unrealistic and thin. Theres an underlying theme about living in the moment and doing what makes you happy, which is great and all but I felt like the plot doesn't do this film or the characters any favors in terms of execution. Its a solid watch overall, im obviously not in this films target audience but id definitely recommend giving it a watch at least once.
